Rosie in the Morning

Untitled

With Roo in a.m. kindergarten Rosie and I have been spending a lot of mornings together.

My life has such a different pace now than when the other girls were little and it's easy to just sweep Rose up and cart her around from store to store or shoo her off to play on her own at home while I get chores done. She hasn't had the lazy mornings that the others have and I miss that for her. And for me.

I am trying to be more present with her and I am finding that I just adore her on her own. When her sisters are home there is a lot of action and attention demanded. She has to be pretty direct in making her wishes known (read: yelling, hitting, whining, and typical baby-of-the-family shenanigans).

One day a week she goes with 3 of her friends to a preschool co-op where we rotate homes. It's perfect for her and she looks forward to it all week long.

With the co-op I have noticed more what a budding little artist she is, how well she plays and listens to others, and that she is detail oriented.

And while she is extremely independent and equally strong-willed we have built a tight little bond between ourselves and it will absolutely crush me to have her go to school full-time.

Yes...that can definitely wait.
